Powerless

Severe storms have hit the area, and we have been without power for 2 days now. The lights went out Thursday night around midnight. Schools were closed on Friday, giving everyone a head start on winter break. Too bad we have to make the day up in the summer. We here there are over 1.3 million people throughout Pierce & King counties that are without power. We can expect it to come back on in the next couple days, or as long as 2-3 weeks. People in the area are going nuts! Traffic is horrible. A normally 20 minute drive took us about 2 hours. All of the local stores are running on generators - they have the lights out, but cash registers on. We've been spending a lot of time at Brian's parents' house, luckily their power is still on. We got some hot showers and warm breakfast this morning. We spent last night by the fire in the living room. We'll see how cold the house is when we return tonight!
